"Rishona did an excellent job in helping me to successfully pull off a surprise 40th birthday party for my fiancé. From choosing a location, to the very end of the party, everything went smoothly and I did not have to worry about missing any details. My guests continue to comment on what a wonderful party it was. The day was absolutely perfect - even better than I imagined."

On Tuesday May 17th, 2011, I truly learned the importance of paper in life. Sure, I have used paper every day, but I never realized the significance of paper until I attended the National Stationery Show in New York City.

As I received a call that a close friend just became engaged, I knew I would soon be one of many asked to be a bridesmaid. Not having a maid of honor, she gave all of her bridesmaids’ different responsibilities in a non-traditional way. Going down the line, I worried what mine would be. As I stuck my hand in a hat and pulled out a piece of paper, it read, “Pick the color of the bridesmaid dresses”. Knowing it would be a spring wedding, thoughts like,” what colors to pick and what colors are in right now” raced through my head. If you are in a similar situation as I am or are in the midst of planning a spring event, knowing popular spring colors might come in handy.  Here are a few tips to keep in mind when picking out spring colors:

On January 9, 2011, I produced my first industry special event show - The 1stAnnual Mitzvah & More Showcase - with my fabulous partner, Susan Kennedy, Outside Marketing/Event Sales and Planner for Spring Mill Country Club/Manor and Blair Mill Inn.  Spring Mill Manor was our gracious host for this three hour experiential event for attendees planning Bar and Bat Mitzvahs in 2011, 2012, and 2013. We had twenty plus exhibitors in attendance all of whom brought what they specialized in for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

Name Etiquette for Children's Stationery

I was working with a customer a few days ago on an order for personalized children’s stationery. She needed a set for her son and a set that included both of her children. While working on the wording for the joint stationery, the question was raised on what order the children’s names should be in– by gender or by age? At first it seemed logical to me that it would be by age – oldest to youngest. But after thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided I wasn’t sure.  So I went online to do a little research.

It’s that time of year again when we are all going into Holiday mode. Oktoberfest and Halloween - the kick off events of the party season –  are over and now we are moving into family holiday mode. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and if you’re like me, you’re wondering, where did the rest of the year go and do I really have time to plan that Thanksgiving feast everyone is expecting me to host?

A Time for Creative Beginnings

I have been debating for a year now about starting my blog and this weekend I decided it was time.  I have been planning events for as long as I can remember, but have been doing it professionally for over 10 years.  The first time I sat down to write this entry was in April, just after my daughter's first birthday party.
